We now offer special packs by grade for family engagement in reading. These are perfect to hand out at Parent Nights or to help jump-start family engagement and support reading at the beginning of the school year.
Reading together not only supports students in reading, it also supports oral language development, vocabulary growth, and overall academic success. Most of the books in these packs are from series specifically designed for family engagement in reading, including We Both Read, We Read Phonics, and/or the Code Reader Decodable Chapter Books. All of the books are ideal to engage parents in reading with their children, and most include after-reading discussion questions or other engagement activities.
The books are pre-packaged in a durable, zippered nylon pouch. In addition to the books, the packs for grades K, 1, and 2 all include a set of phonics cards to provide support in phonics skills. Plus, each pack includes a parent handout that provides tips for parents on how they can help support their children in reading.

We also offer special packs by grade for English & Spanish family engagement. Each of these packs includes 5 bilingual or dual-language books in a zippered nylon pouch. With these bilingual titles, parents and students can choose to read in English or Spanish, making the books ideal to use in homes where the primary language is Spanish. Most titles are from the Bilingual We Both Read series, which has been specifically designed to support ELL students and their parents in reading together. Plus, all the packs include a bilingual English/Spanish handout on how parents can use the books to support their children in reading.
